international art fair for works on paper
25. – 28. april 2019
Deutsche Telekom Hauptstadtrepräsentanz
Französische Straße 33a-c, 10117 Berlin

From 25 – 28 April 2019, the art fair paper positions berlin presents international artistic positions parallel to the Gallery Weekend in Berlin. In the historic atrium of the former telegraph office, today’s Deutsche Telekom Hauptstadtrepräsentanz, 48 galleries from 11 countries will show the diversity of the artistic medium paper. Galleries from Germany, South Africa, Poland, Austria, Switzerland, the Netherlands, Latvia, the USA, Israel, Thailand and China are represented.

The broad spectrum of “works on paper” can be seen in drawings, collages, objects, photographs, artist books, autographs, prints and much more. The special focus of the fair promises extraordinary discoveries and rediscoveries, while the unconventional exhibition concept offers both an overview of mostly modern and contemporary art, and at the same time, a refreshing and relaxed reception of art.

Numerous new participants
The positive response from exhibitors in recent years and this year’s rush of applications confirm the idea of a specialised fair concept.

This year’s new galleries in Berlin include Slag Gallery (New York), Maus Contemporary (Birmingham, USA), Le Salon Vert (Geneva), Livingstone Gallery (The Hague), Engelage & Lieder (Dusseldorf), Kunsthandel Hagemeier (Frankfurt am Main), Galerie Martin Kudlek (Cologne), Ira Stehmann Fine Art (Munich), Galeria Szydłowski (Warsaw), Galerie Heike Strelow (Frankfurt am Main), Malte Uekermann Kunsthandel (Berlin) and FeldbuschWiesnerRudolph (Berlin).

First Highlights
The selection is made according to the criteria of discovering and rediscovering. Therefore works by renowned artists such as Emil Nolde, Joseph Beuys, George Grosz, Max Beckmann, Ernst Ludwig Kirchner, Leo Erb, Georg Karl Pfahler, Rainer Fetting and Julian Opie are represented. But also many exciting newcomer positions such as a solo presentation of the young artist Hell Gette, works by the Portuguese Mafalda Figueiredo, collages by Saba Niknam and Milen Till or minimalist color drawings by the artist Ksenija Jovišević will be shown.

Fair concept and location
The approximately 1000 sqm hall in the Deutsche Telekom Hauptstadtrepäsentanz provides paper positions berlin with ideal conditions for an open fair concept.

Working completely without classic booths, paper positions berlin underlines the character of a large group exhibition. The spatial design offers visitors both an overview and the opportunity to perceive individual artistic works in a mutual dialogue.

We cordially invite you to our art fairs 2019!
